What if I am arriving by public transport?

The nearest train station is Canterbury West. You can get a cab from there to the venue or the 18 bus from Canterbury Bus Station. You can also click on the Directions icon within the map on the Venue page to generate a full route and itinerary for your journey to Spoontown whether arriving by car, public transport or bicycle.

Can I arrive earlier than 3pm?

Please arrive after 3pm as other activities are running at the venue prior to the event.

What do I need to bring for registration?

Your booking reference on your phone or a printout.

Instead of camping, can I stay in a Hotel / Bed & Breakfast / Airbnb?

Yes, no problem!

I have children, can they come?

Yes, children under 16 are free but they MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

This is primarily an educational event for adults, and as such, we will not have facilities for children.

Can I purchase a cheaper ticket if I only attend part of the event?

Unfortunately not, the ethos behind Spoontown is that it will be an immersive environment.

Therefore please do your best to attend for the entire duration, where possible.

Can I bring my own food?

We will have a food truck available for all meals (Vegan options available)

However, do feel free to cook your own food using your own camping equipment.

Can I light my own fire?

There are two communal fire pits. No other fires are allowed.

What are the facilities on site?

The site has cold running water taps, and an area for washing up.

There are composting toilets on site, including toilets with disabled access.

Standard wheelchair accessibility may be limited due to it being an outdoor site.

Hot showers are available and work surprisingly well!

What if after purchasing my ticket I cannot attend?

Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds, but you maybe able to sell your ticket on the Spoontownies Facebook page.

Can I sell my wares at the craft market?

The Spoontown Craft Market is on Sunday morning, where everyone can sell their Spoons, Tools, Crafts, and Outdoor gear.

To cover the cost of a pitch fee, we ask for a donation that will go directly to a chosen charity (The Tree Council)

Can I bring alcohol?

We will have a bar available in the evenings.

If you do bring your own, we ask that you take your empties home with you and you do not drink and carve.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, but they will have to be on a lead at all times.

No barking during the night (the dog that is), and please clean up after your dog.

Are there any cash points on site?

Not on the site itself, however, there is a Post Office in the village shop which is a five minute walk away where you can use your Credit or Debit card to withdraw cash over the counter.

However, you are advised to bring enough cash with you for the event.

Can I make on-site purchases with a credit/debit card?

How far is the nearest supermarket/newsagent?

There is a village shop five minutes walk away. Local supermarkets are available in Canterbury which is a 15 minute drive.

What do I bring?

Your personal carving tools, a folding chair, bowl, cup and utensils, camping equipment, power packs, food and snacks if required. If you need further suggestions please ask via social media.

Where do I dispose of my rubbish?

You take it home with you in a rubbish bag that you will be issued with upon arrival.

Can I stay an extra night?

Only by separate arrangement with the venue (Knowler Farm)
